Information and limitations of the BNA Tm prediction calculator:

The most accurate Tm value can be obtained in the range from 9 to 20 nucleotides.
It is, however, possible to obtain reasonably accurate Tm values in other ranges.

The predicted Tm values are based on the following:

• Salt concentration (sodium ion) from 100 to 150 mM.
  
• Neutral or closely neutral solution (pH 7.0 - 8.3).
  
• Oligonucleotide concentrations between 2 and 4 uM.
  

Limitations:

• BNA bases should be BNANC
• It is neccessary to use at least one BNA base in the oligonucleotides that need to be calculated.
  
• Due to the limitation of RNA hybridzation information, the RNA Tm values may not be calculable.
